Barak Obama reckons the best way of resolving disagreements between Iran and the US is by sitting down and talking with their leaders as though they were our equals; which is fine. But meanwhile, in Tehran, nine Iranians have just been convicted of adultery, and according to the Associated Press that means our equals there are going to pelt them to death with stones.

The demographic jihad

You’ve got to feel sorry for the Russians. After Marx and Lenin and all that stuff it now seems as though things are going to get much worse, because Pravda is now reporting that in just a few decades Islam will be the primary religion in the Russian Federation. I should think so! I mean, by 2020 Brussels will already be fully Islamic, and so if Islam is the way forward for the capital of the EU it’s got to be good enough for the Russians… eh, comrade?

Let’s talk numbers

In 1917, prior to the revolution, just 2 or 3 per cent of Russians were actually Communists. Even so, more than 30 million Russians were eventually murdered, and a large part of the globe ended up directly controlled or influenced by the Soviets. Similarly, in 1924, when Hitler was sentenced to five years in prison for leading the ‘Beer Hall Putsch’, the number of Germans who were actually Nazis was probably fewer than 3 per cent. Even so, the Nazis eventually seized control of the German state, triggering a devastating world war in which many millions were killed and injured. Question: what percentage of Muslims are Islamist?

Mushrooming mosques

The Muslim population throughout the UK and Europe is increasing. There have also been a number of calls for Sharia law. Hence the growing feeling that Europe is undergoing Islamisation. But the threat of Islamification is at last being confronted.

An ‘honour killing’ is the punitive killing of a female Muslim who has brought shame upon her family and community. In other words, it’s generally felt by family members and her immediate community that a female Muslim must be killed if they believe she’s behaved dishonourably.

Comoros: island paradise?

Ever heard of Comoros? Not many have, and I suppose that’s because it’s just a very small nation somewhere off the eastern coast of Africa. Comoros as such officially consists of four islands with less than a million people, and apart from fishing, vanilla and cloves it doesn’t have much of an economy. Having said that, it is in fact the world’s largest producer of ylang-ylang, which is basically a flower on the fast growing cananga tree. The essentials oils from ylang-ylang are Comoros’ primary export. Oh, and the dominant religion in Comoros is Sunni Muslim - representing about 98% of the population.

And as soon as you know that fact you’d be forgiven for thinking: oh no - what’s happened now? Well Agence France-Presse are reporting that the regime in Comoros has recently launched a crackdown on “loose morals”, and for a start that means a ban on immodest clothing and the sale of alcohol. In other words, sharia law hasn’t been fully imposed, but as far as the bikini is concerned it seems safe to assume it’s days are numbered.

Pupils forced to pray

Islam in our schools is in the news again. A couple of boys have been punished because they refused to kneel down and pray to Allah. They were also told to wear Muslim headgear. It was all part of a religious education lesson which was supposed to show how Muslims practice their so-called religion, but when parents objected the headmaster and local council were quick to point out that no real harm had been done. Alright then, when it’s time for the next lesson in religious education let’s make Muslim schoolchildren practice the Jewish faith and force them to wear yarmulkes.
